Eylger

Eylger is a dungeon synth/dark ambient sideproject.

This project is dedicated to the 90s bands that shaped my musical influences. These include iconic names like Summoning, Pazuzu, Abigor, and the entire roster of the 'Austrian Black Metal Syndicate.' It also draws inspiration from Era I Mortiis and the early Dungeon Synth movement, featuring artists such as Gothmog, Darkest Oath, Lamentation, Erythrite Throne, Floral of Forever, Valor, Avox, Old Distant Weep, Eternal Fear, and Satanis Nocturne.

Additionally, there’s a nod to Fulci-infused Fabio Frizzi soundtracks and neoclassical darkwave in the vein of Sopor Aeternus & The Ensemble of Shadows. The influence extends further to B.S.O.D's remarkable projects like Anger of Gods, Trollheim, Blod Besvimelse, and the raw, unparalleled majesty of Grausamkeit.

This is an ongoing project, evolving through numerous changes and iterations. The audio clips shared below are just rough experiments—snippets, try-outs, or "brainfarts".

The final music will center around minimalist synth melodies, raw, heavily distorted guitars, and an overwhelming sense of nostalgia.
